Child, hold on to Mom's hand---Mourning for the dead children in Sichuan Earthquake
i feel heavy-hearted to type word by word here to share with u a touching poem written to mourn the children whose life was taken away by the evil 5.12 earthquake. the following poem was posted on the internet by some unknown author, and originally it's written in Chinese, and translated by a young female Chinese mother working in New Zealand,  whose blog name is Mama Student (妈妈同学: http://blog.sina.com.cn/u/1345181057)

A lot of school buildings collapsed, burying children inside. Only a few escaped. A poem for the dead children is being widely spread on the internet.

Child, hold on to Mom's hand
The road to heaven is too dark, and
Mom worries that your head is being hit.
      Hold on to Mom's hand
      Let me accompany you.

However, it is too dark too see your hand.
And since the falling wall robbed the sunshine away,
The soft look in your eyes I could no more see.

      Off you go,
There is no more worries on the road ahead of you
No more tiring school work and
No more Father's fist on to you.

Yet you must remember the look of me
      and your father
So that we could  walk together
      for the next life

Do not worry too much, Mom
The road to heaven is a bit crowded
      with too many schoolmates
      We tell each other
      "Do not cry!"
Every  mother here is our mother
      And every child,mother's child.

      So, Mom,
Leave your love to the alive children
      In the days without me.
